Creating an Intranet
Presently I have a home network with a mixture of XP Pro and Windows
2000 machines. My "server" is XP Pro with Simple File Sharing. It would
be very helpful to for the server to be able to serve up HTML pages
internally. How can I create an Intranet web server on XP Pro that
cannot be reached from the outside world?

The rest of the network is RoadRunner with a ZyXEL P-334WT Router, if
that means anything.

Unless you setup a "port forwarding" / "virtual server" rule to
forward HTTP requests to the "server" on router, your internal web
pages should not be "seen" from the Internet.

Windows XP Pro is "delivered" with IIS (Internet Informatiopn Server)
which you would need to install / start separately.

Sounds reasonable. Thanks for the response.
