Dropped Wireless Zero Configuration
I am in windows XP and almost suicidal. Every time my HP laptop is shut down
or hybernates, i have to re config WNZ to Start and the "Use Windows to
configure my wireless settings" boxed must be checked. I have tried
everything, including going into Registry and resetting the DWORD Start
values to 2. .... and other suggestion posted on this site.. Broadband
802.11 is on the machine. Please help before I revert back to the typewriter
and snailmail. -Thank you! -Lefty

Hi
Make sure that parts of the original manufacturer Wireless security is not
load at startup and running in background.
These utilities usually switch WZC off.
In addition uncheck the power saving option of the Wireless Network Card.

Re: Dropped Wireless Zero Configuration
Thanks, Jack. How do I make sure the orig. Manufacturer Wireless Security
(Broadband) is not loaded at startup? I see a couple of options here. Lefty

Hi
I can not tell for sure How-to, there is No uniform way that is used to name
the Wireless utility, some vendors give it a meaningful name others might
use gibberish.
Download these two utilities (Startup and process Explore), and do some
snooping around.
