Not easily with Remote Desktop.

Look at UltraVNC. This is a remote access software where both monitor
remain active.

Re: remote desktop confirm
Hi
Connecting from remote computer to your home computer needs to meet two
conditions.
1. Knowledge of the Internet address of the PC that is running and ready to
accept communication.
Home Computer IP on the Internet - http://www.ezlan.net/myip.html
2. Remote Control Application.
Windows Remote Desktop can be used for this purpose (the controlled computer
has to Windows XP Pro, or version of Vista that allow remote control).
Otherwise this 3rd party remote control application is a good solution too,

RE: remote desktop confirm
I'm using Windows Remote Desktop but I remember there was a time where it
would not prompt the pc I'm trying to remote to whether or not to allow this,
it just did it. I'm using xp pro sp2.

Remote Desktop / Terminal Services will not request the log off if you
are using a server grade Windows (Windows 2000, 2003 or 2008???)
