Sharing an HP PSC 1210 all-in-one with a US Robotics router via USB
Hi all.
I'm trying and failing to share an HP printer via a US Robotics
wireless router with built in USB print server. The router is working
fine, and I installed the printer directly via USB and have now
switched it to the USB port on the router and told the router to find
it, which it does not.

The router documentation says the printer must support Internet
Printing Protocol or IPP. How do I find out if this printer supports
IPP? If it does not is there anything else I can do (of course I can
share the printer from the host computer, but I didn't want to have to
have the PC on to use the printer from the laptop).

Al

Hi
Since you installed the Drivers while the printer was on the computer's USB
port the printing functions probably can not find the printer cause they do
not work with the network.
Reinstall the drivers while the printer is on the Router via Add a Network
printer.

Yep, I could try that. I was following the instructions that came with
the router. I'll let you know. Any ideas how I find out if the printer
supports IPP?
