telnet logging
Hello

I'm trying to log on my brother's computer in our house LAN to help him
rather than going to his room, I'm using MS-Dos telnet. so when I type
<telnet Ipaddress port> it just shows a black screen. I need to do things
like "dir, cd, copy" but I can not. I used Putty as well it just shows the
commands I type without results. I used ports like 137, 138, 139.

I appreciate any help on this.

thanks

Re: telnet logging
Telnet won't do what you need. Have you investigated Remote Desktop and/or
Remote Assistance?

Re: telnet logging
no actucally and i think remote desktop might slow the connection, there are
some web sites say that connecting another computer through telnet is doable,
but they do not explain how. so if there is a way please let me know how.

thanks
