Forced to reboot after switching networks

I have a strange problem that has popped up in the last couple of
weeks. If I changed something in my network settings to cause this, I
can't for the life of me figure out what it was ...

The problem is that whenever I switch physical networks (between
various wired or wireless networks), which I do a lot, I am forced to
reboot to use the network at all. Here are some of the symptoms:

- I do get an IP address.
- I can't ping ANYTHING (by name or IP) on the network until after a
reboot - including the DHCP server that gave me the IP address.
- I have tried the Windows right-click and "repair" function with no
effect.
- Connecting to/disconnecting from a VPN works (thankfully) as normal.
- If I am working on Network A, then switch to Network B, it will
fail. But if I then switch back to Network A without rebooting, it
will work again.

Any ideas are welcome for this frustrating problem. Thanks in advance.

Post back with the results of ipconfig /all before and after switching.
