video call pc to pc

Is there a more direct way to get voice and video between two pcs than
through one of the windows/live/yahoo messengers? I have two offices
with router to router VPN. Stations are running XP Pro. We don't need
shared apps and all, just a station on each end where people can have
a video conversation with someone on the other end. Any suggestions?
