Network properties ...

I am having a terrible time trying to figure out my connection issues on my
Local Area Network. Every time I open the properties box I get the following
message and have to click "OK".
"Some of the controlls on this property sheet are disabled because one or
more other property sheets are already open. To use these controls, close
close all these property sheets and then re-open this one".
Once I do click OK I am unable to uncheck any of the check boxes in the
"This connection uses the following items:" section and worst of all the
three boxes under the section; "Install", "Uninstall", and "Properties"
remain dark or unavailable to click on.
LAC is the only connection in my network connections and I am unable to have
a wireless connection.
CAN ANYONE HELP?
