Not enough memory to initialize winsock driver
Hi folks,

I'm getting intermittent disconnection from the internet. One of my
application that I use for the internet shows this error message, "Not
enough memory to initialize Winsok Driver".
The funny thing is that I'm still connected to the internet and Windows
shows the signal strength of my Wireless Internet Connection as excellent.
However, I can't access the internet. Going to any web address in Firefox
gives me the message, "Done" at the bottom, but nothing is happening -- no
error message from firefox.
I can't get any email in my Outlook Express either.
Rebooting eliminates the problem, but by the end of the day it may come
back.
Please advise if you can.
Thankk you in advance.

Re: Not enough memory to initialize winsock driver
Hi
Winsock problem has nothing to do with the wireless connection or the actual
network connection.
It is a OS/software problem usually caused by incoming Internet Junk, it
trashes the Browser capacity to work with the connection.
Maybe this can Help, http://www.ezlan.net/clean.html#refreshnet
In addition scan you computer with Anti Virus/Spyware to make sure that
there is No junk Hogging the memory.
If you have old computer and it low on physical memory it might be time to
upgrade the memory.

Re: Not enough memory to initialize winsock driver
In many cases, this is driver issue. have you check any new driver is
available for the NIC?
