Accessing program applications files on a Home Network
This is what i'm trying to do....I have a MCE2005 that I want to use as a
Server/Media Server and all my programs are loading unto that machine
(ei..Microsoft Office... etc.) I would like to be able to access the
microsoft applications from another computer on the home network. I have set
up all the folder to shared but when I click on the .exe file its states the
program must to install on the computer...

Can I used programs install on the server or do I need to have it installed
on all the computers?

Thanks for any advise....

Most general windows applications must installed locally on every PC
that you wish to use the application on, unless the program is
specifically designed for a client / server install mode. MS Office
is not generally designed for this.
