Volume control problem
I am using Win. XP Home with SP2. All updates are current. My motherboard
and audio information is as follows: MS-6373(v1.X) ATX Mainboard
MSI K7N420 Pro

NVIDIA GeForce2 Integrated GPU [Display adapter]
NVIDIA(R) nForce(TM) Audio
NVIDIA(R) nForce(TM) Audio Codec Interface
NVIDIA(R) nForce(TM) MCP Audio Processing Unit

In the last several weeks I have noticed a problem with my volume control
located in the task bar. It works fine when the computer is running.
However, when I reboot the volume out of the speakers is up as high as it
goes in spite of the fact that the volume control slider is down to a low
volume. I can correct the problem and restore the speakers to normal
volume simply by slightly moving the slider. The volume control then works
fine untill the next time I reboot. In other words: rebooting brings the
speakers to full volume regardless of the volume control setting.

Can you help with this problem?

Thank you
Bob

RE: Volume control problem
Hi Bob

Did a google search and I may have found a solution.
http://www.techsupportforum.com/hard...-low-high.html

From the above site it has a link to fix the registry.

Regcure looks to be the solution.
