Running Malicious Malware Remover, Defender and Live One ScannerConcurrently?
I have a Dell Dimension 300 with XP 95 and i have loaded it with
Office SP3. My question is concerning some Microsoft applications:
the Malicious Malware Removal Tool, the Windows Defender, and the
Live One Free Scanner. I DO NOT desire to have the full Live One
Security service because I have a real time spyware and virus scanner
from Google Pack: Spyware Doctor and Norton Virus Scan going real
time. However, i have great respect for the Live One Scanner.
QUESTION: Can i run the Malware remover instrument, the Defender
and the Live One Scanner concurrently? Am i foroced to do them one at
a time? Please Help: ADVISE.
Best
Robb

According to Google Pack website, Norton Virus Scan is not a "real time"
scanner
http://pack.google.com/intl/en/learn_more_frameset.html

AntiVir on the other hand is(free version available)

Windows Defender has "real time" scanning. Do you have it enabled? If so
turn off Spyware Doctor. You would be better off using SUPERAntiSpyware
as an additional malware scanner instead of SD anyway.

I would run the Malicious Malware Removal Tool when it is released
(usually once a month).

I run scans at different times so they get done quicker and when I am
not busy.

Running all your scanners at once might choke-up your system. I have
more tools and tips on my pages (see below)

max
PS I still don't know what a "XP 95" is ?????
