Can't change user icons, even though I have administrator access.

Did a new install of Windows XP. Have installed all current patches.
On the logon screen, all user icons are the same, even though I have
changed mine to something else. If I try to change any of the other
user icons, I get a "access denied" error. But, it indicates that I
have administrator access. Any ideas why this is?

Just because you are an administrator does not mean you have access to
everything. Sometimes, in order to do something with a file/folder - you
have to take ownership of said file/folder first. You want to be careful
doing this *if* you are not the only user of said files/folders.

Yes - a user can take the administrator rights aways from a file or folder
that they are an owner of and make the file private. The difference comes
with the fact the administrator level user can take ownership back and give
themselves permissions again.
