e-mail
My default e-mail is yahoo but when I am on a web page and want to send it to
someone the e-mail that pops up is Microsoft Outlook Express. My laptop is
not set up to use the Microsoft e-mail. Is it possible for me to set my yahoo
e-mail to be the e-mail that pops up when I want to send a web page.

Thanks for any suggestions

E-mail is a particular message.
Yahoo is not e-mail.
Yahoo is a company.
Yahoo operates many web sites, including a webmail site.
Yahoo provides e-mail services.

Your "default e-mail is Yahoo" means what? That you have a Yahoo
e-mail account, okay, but that says NOTHING about how you access it.
Are you asking about using a local e-mail client or using Yahoo Mail's
webmail interface?

Because sending anything from YOUR computer requires that you use a
local e-mail client. If you want to Yahoo Mail's webmail interface,
you'll have to use THEIR web site to send your e-mail. That means
saving the web page as a file and then having Yahoo Mail retrieve that
file to include in the e-mail that you originate at Yahoo Mail's host,
not yours.

Yahoo Mail is a web site, not a local e-mail client. At one time,
Yahoo Mail offered an ActiveX control (so you need to enable scripting
for your browser, if not already enabled) that you downloaded and
would run as the local e-mail client to interface with their webmail
service. You'll have to dig around Yahoo's site(s) to see if they
still offer that AX control. Once you download their AX control, it
should appear as a local e-mail client option in Internet Options ->
Programs for the default e-mail client.

I didn't spend a lot of time searching but I can no longer find the
separate AX control to download and act as a local e-mail client so
you can select Yahoo Mail as your default e-mail service. Apparently
Yahoo wants to shove their Yahoo Messenger or Yahoo Toolbar in your
face to get that functionality now.
