Is it possible to prevent the screensaver from initiating when I am watching
a television programme on my PC?

Right click your desktop
select properties
select screensaver tab
click power (at the bottom right)
select presentation from the power schemes dropdown box
click ok

Just set the screensaver to None, that way it wont come on again until you
go back and set one again.

I hit the link for the fix and it gave me back the laptop settings. I am not
sure what to do with the other fix you sent me - I could be getting out of
my depth. I am fairly sure I only ever had Desktop and Laptop as options.
