How to Change drive letters also System Resore errors

How do you change drive letters Ex. F to G etc?
I back up daily to 2 places (Zip drive, Flash memory). Today the backup
failed because the drive letters changed.

I can't do a system restore since XP Sp 3 was installed when I try the
system tells me it cannot restore to the point selected try a new point. I
have tried several points and get the same results. Any ideas?

Providing that you are not attempting to change the Boot/System drive
letter you can do this with the Disk Management tool. To access the
tool enter diskmgmt.msc in the Start Menu Run box.

Right click on My Computer, select Manage, then under the Storage option
select Disk Management.

Now in the right hand pane right click on the Drive or partition that you
want to
and select Change Drive Letter and Paths.
Then click the Change button and pick a letter from the pull down list.

Others have answered your question about drive letters. I will make
suggestions regarding system restore.

One flows from drive letters. You can encounter failure to restore if
you monitor partitions other than the partition containing windows.
Check that you have not been monitoring removable drives.

What are your anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall arrangements? These
pose an ever increasing threat to using System Restore.
