Restore Point - when?
I just installed Apple Quick Time in order to view a .mov file.

A restore point was created called (what else?) "Installed Quick Time"

Question: Was the restore point created just BEFORE or just AFTER the
program installation?
I have a hunch it was "just after". However, in that case, how could
I revert to my system as it was just before the installation?

Thanks!

Re: Restore Point - when?
Try the "Installed Quick Time" point out. If it doesn't work the way you
want it to then use the Undo function in System Restore.

You might not be able to get back to exactly the way it was just prior to
installing Quicktime but you should have a System Checkpoint that was
created within 24 hours of the "Installed Quick Time" point that you could
go back to.

Re: Restore Point - when?
The restore point was created just before Quick Time was installed. So if
you use the restore point named "Installed Quick Time", it will set/restore
the PC back to just before you installed Quick Time.

Re: Restore Point - when?
usually the "restore" point is created before the installation.......what
would you restore to if the installation failed???
