Re: Installing everything on D drive
If you ran your recovery CD - which erases your hard disk and reinstalls
the software that was on your computer when it left the factory,
including Windows - why would you also need to use a Windows XP CD? At
best that would leave you with two separate installations: Your C drive
would contain the software that was installed at the factory, including
Windows, and your D drive would contain a separate installation of
Windows. Since only one partition can be active (in the absence of a
dual boot setup) your software will install itself into whatever is the
active partition. That appears to be D in your case.
