Transferring files between primary and secondary
Hi

I have XP Home SP2.

For some strange reason, I am now unable to transfer files from one internal
HDD to the other internal HDD.
I have one secondary HDD and obviously one primary.
Not being at home to double check, I cant remember whether its primary to
secondary or secondary to primary that fails, but its definitely only one way
that doesn’t work.

For example; I try to transfer a photo from one HDD to the other by cutting
and pasting it, but a ghost of the cut photo remains on the original HDD, and
the file appears to have been transferred successfully to its correct
destination.
Both files fail to open when double clicked, and when I try to close the
computer I get a message telling me that its busy.
Its also impossible to delete the files.
If I force my computer to restart, the transfer of the file is then
successful.

Apart from this one glitch, everything else is running smooth and quickly.

Thanks for any help

RE: Transferring files between primary and secondary
Try individual files from my documents,L.click on it,then in sub menu on L.
select "move this file" move to other hd,or create new folder, create
short-cut
to it,move folder to other hd,add as needed to new folder, open new in my
docum-
ents..If it's still failing,format the 2nd hd & try reusing after,it may be
failing.
