Windows Installer Installation
I have been trying to install a copy of Dreamweaver 8, but when I do the
following message is displayed:-

Windows Installer Installation Wrapper
The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if
you are running Windows in Safe Mode, or if the Windows Installer is not
currently installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.

I am not running in Safe Mode and as far as I am aware Windows
Installer is installed, as I have not previously had any trouble
installing programs,

I would appreciate help and advice very much.

Re: Windows Installer Installation
Not all installers employ the Windows Installer. Get it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Thanks Leonard for the suggestion. I went to the site and downloaded
Windows Installer KB893803-v2-x86.exe I then installed it, rebooted and
then tried again, but the same message is displayed.

I don't know whether you have any other suggestions, but they would be
gratefully received.

Re: Windows Installer Installation
Sorry, that's about as far as I can go. Maybe take it up with Adobe
technical support. (They also have user forums.)

Did you read the Prerequisites of the DreamWeaver to install on your
system?, how much RAM and Disk space you have HDD. Try to run disk cleanup
and Defrag in safe mode then make sure you logged with Admin Privileges to
install this App.
Run this command:
sfc /scannow

Using the Windows Installer wrapper
http://livedocs.adobe.com/jrun/4/JRu...wsinstall6.htm

Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x86)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
Windows Installer Wrapper Wizard (WIWW) 0.2.0
http://www.vinsvision.com/Articles/t...5/Default.aspx

NOTE; Turn OFF the Anti-virus when installing the App and then Enable and
run a thorough Scan for both malware and viruses, best if you done that
before the installation!.
HTH.

Thanks Nass for these suggestions, I do have enough RAM and Hard Disk
Space. I will have a go at what you suggest and see how I get on.
