user defined keyboard shortcut

Is there a way for me to define a new keyboard shortcut under winXP?
There's times when I go through so many key/moustrokes to a certain website
etc. that I sorely miss it.


For example: Google has this excellent new translate tool in therr Labs
beta (http://translate.google.com/translat...ngpair=en%7Cde)
.. I frequently need it when I'm, say, typing a paper in word or an email in
Thunderbird. Its a pain to have to go thorugh:

Open Firefox->Google Bookmarks-->Search for the translate tool -> Go to it
and add my phrase.

If I could do a (say) Ctrl+Alt+GG and get there from anywhere , it'd be
awesome!

Any ideas or similar hacks for this issue?

Thanks Leonard! I'd seen that but I'm not sure how to use it to solve
exactly my problem. I can get it to pop up FF; but can I get it to
automatically go to http://translate.google.com/translat...ngpair=en%7Cde
too?

That's a general problem. I have an MS-Access dir of names. Every
time I need to Go to folder--> Open particular db--> go to a certain
table. Display.

Is it possible to script / automate a certain set of actions?

This method works for any browser:

full path to browser - space - webpage address

For example:

"c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe" http://www.cnn.com

The quotation marks are needed if the path to your browser's executable
contains one or more spaces.
