Restoring All Display Properties
My background, Desktop and Screen Savers are stuck. It's been this way for a
while, not sure when or why it might have started. Any suggestions on how to
unlock these and put them all back to a default?

Can you be more descriptive by what you mean by 'stuck'?

Descriptive - as in "What do you *see*?"

- Are you able to actually get into display properties and make changes to
said settings but they do not work?
Are you able to actually get into display properties and make changes to
said settings and they do work but reset upon reboot?
- Are you unable to change the settings because the place where you would is
locked in such a way you cannot actually change anything? (Grayed out...)
- Are you unable to make said changes because you cannot even get to the
place where you would normally do this because the options are missing?

Re: Restoring All Display Properties
Are you on a domain or working in a workgroup?

Could be a user rights issue here. You may not have sufficient privileges to
change the desktop features.

Have you tried a system restore?

Have you ran anti-virus\spyware\malware - sometimes if you have an
infestation they can cause issues with your control panel functions - might
be worth it if you sweep your system for any virus's.

Re: Restoring All Display Properties
I would like a resolution to the problem and NOT a response in usage of
english and punctuations.

....he replied eight weeks after the last post in the thread....

I was responding to the post that started "hey i got alomst the same problem
but i cant go in..." by "RealSeb" - is that you? It doesn't sound like it
is, but *if* it is:

- don't piggyback, but start a new thread for a new problem (and yours is
by no means "alomst the same" as the OP's).

- reading up on how to make a good (and at least semi-literate) post will
help us to help you. Many people who could help won't bother wading through
unpunctuated and uncapitalised over-long sentences with poor spelling. We're
not after perfection, but at least make an effort before posting. See the
link in Shenan's signature.
