If you're that desperate for space it may be time for a new hard disk.
You should uninstall all versions of Java (rebooting after each
uninstall) and install the latest version of Java which you can obtain here:
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
You're looking at the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 6.
Other ways to save space: run the disk cleanup wizard, reduce the
allocations for the Recycle Bin, TIF and restore points.
You should also know that a malware infection can eat up enormous
amounts of disk space.
If you're using Norton GoBack or something similar, don't.
