XP disk space not correct?
HI,

I am running XP on my laptop, and System says I have a

Total 93.2 Gig
Used 70.2 Gig
Free 22.9 Gig

But when I open Window explorer c: drive select all files, right click on
properties

"General" Tab says Size 26.9 Gig, instead of 70.2 gig.

Any way to display what other parts of disk space was used?

Thank you.

Showing Hidden and System files?

Actually - your explanation of the problem seems weird...

Do you mean you right-click on "C:" in My Computer/Windows Explorer and
select properties...

Or do you mean you open C: in My Computer/Windows Explorer and select all
files (CTRL+A) and right-click on the highlighed files and choose properties
and wait for it to calculate the used space?

Re: XP disk space not correct?
Actually I mean reported disk usage 60 gig, but when I open up window
explorer select all files under c: shows 30 gig used.

The problem was solved this morning, it was because IBM back up takes up
lots of space and the directory "RRBackups" is a system file so it shows only
0 bytes but actually takes up 30 gig. This is similar as Checkpoints, but
since it is a IBM folder, microsoft tools or tools like Visualizer cannot
display its size.

That's why I am a microsoft person not IBM's :>
