Recovery Console question
Hello

I have installed Recovery Console from my XP (Home) CD, so that when I start
my computer it gives me the option of logging on to the Recovery Console or
choosing Windows Home.

If I choose Recovery Console (as I need to repair Windows) I see this only:

1) C:/Windows

So, I enter the number 1. It tells me this is an invalid command line (!!)
and suggests I press help.

I have done that and it gives me a list of command line options, but which
do I choose so that I can repair Windows?

Many thanks.

Steve

Without knowing exactly what problem you're trying to fix it's difficult to give
any response better than a guess but something tells me the Recovery Console
isn't the tool for the job. Here's an article that outlines what can be done
from the Recovery Console.

I think what you're looking to do is a repair installation of Windows XP. You
might want to take a look at these articles.
