.gif pictures do not show in My Pictures

..gif pictures will not show in My Pictures, but .jpg and .bmp pictures will.

Which version of Windows are you running?

Are you referring to animated .gif files?

Are you saying there are no thumbnails or are
you saying you cannot open the full sized image?

XP Home Edition 2002.
These are images I saved from the internet, just ordinary pictures.
There are thumbnails, they're just blank.
