SyncToy string of I/O errors
I know this group says XP, and this may be a Vista question (not sure, but I
have the problem on my Vista system and not on my XP system), but don't know
where else to post about SyncToy. If I should go elsewhere, please let me
know and I will. Meanwhile, onto my problem...
I have no issues running SyncToy under Windows XP.
It works for some folders on my Vista machine.
For any network folders on a Novell NetWare server, I cannot sync them to a
Windows Vista machine using SyncToy. I can copy the files back and forth to
and from the Vista machine. I can also sync them to a Windows XP machine.
But I cannot sync them to Vista.
I get a string of I/O errors when I try with SyncToy 1.4. I receive no
errors, but files of 0 bytes, in SyncToy 2.0 Beta.
On the error log in SyncToy, they read: "Error: I/O error occurred.. Copying
[SOURCE] to [DESTINATION]" where [SOURCE] and [DESTINATION] are the actual
file names and paths for each file.
Any suggestions? Has anyone seen these erros with SyncToy on XP? Maybe it
has nothing to do with Vista.
Thank you very much for any help at all,
Colin
