invisible pictures
Please Help....

My pictures are invisible.
I have no idea what happened. The files are there , but when I try to open
them they are not there.
There is no error message. It only says there is no preview available.
in file details it shows the information is still there. They are not
deleted, but no matter the program I use to try to see them they are
invisible. I also can't email them.
I tried restoring my computer to an earlier date, defragmenting, and
cleaning the disks, and temporary files, and a virus scan.
Nothing so far has corrected the problem.

Does anybody have and clue what to in this situation?
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Re: invisible pictures
Open the folder, change the Views from Thumbnails to Details.
Look at the name of the files. Do you see the extension .jpg after the same,
such as
filename.jpg
If not, click on Tools on the top bar and Folder Options and then View tab.
Scroll down and remove the check in the box "Hide extensions common..."
Tell us what you see after filename. Do you see
filename.jpg
or something else.

Try the following.
Make a new folder.
Select one of your photo file and copy it in this new folder. Can you copy
it? If you can copy it, can you open it?
