Digital Image Suite 10 is still available?
Hi:
I heard/read that there is Digital Image Suite 10, however I am not able to
find it yet at any of local stores.

I still have been using Microsoft Digital Image 2006 that does not make me
quite happy when trying to sharpen image. Then, I've been thinking of more
advanced version of MDI that might be Digital Image Suite 10? Or, some
other software to look for?

Any advice and imputs on both issues, .... sharpening image and purchasing
Microsoft Digital Suite 10 would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

=================================
There is no version of MS Digital Image that
is more advanced than Digital Image 2006.

The MS Picture It! / MS Digital Image line
of software has been discontinued and
your best bet for finding any of the various
versions would be online at sites like Amazon
or eBay.

MS Digital Image 2006 was version 11....
Version 10 was an earlier version.

FWIW if you are unhappy with the sharpen
feature in 2006...you would not be satisfied
with version 10 either.

Try the following freeware...it has a good
tool for sharpening and it also has an option
that allows you to see the before version of
the image before you commit to the new edit.

Any "sharpening" function will be disappointing if you expect it
to refocus an out of focus photo.

Mild sharpening is handy for putting some "snap" back into a
good image whose edges have been softened a bit by resampling--
for example, by fractional rotation or scaling.

It can occasionally "rescue" a photo in which the desired element
is a bit defocussed, but the result will always look "sharpened"
and not natural.

Apologize for butting in on this thread.

I had a problem with library maxed and hanging up program. Monday 3/17 John
gave answer & link for an article. Clicked over to the article but could not
get back to the discussion thread I was on.

I believe answer was how to "force" a new catalog???
