Photo Story 3 -- Default Effects & Transitions Settings
In Photo Story 3, is there a way to set defaults for effects and transitions,
or to apply the same settings to all slides in a given slide show?
Thanks,
Paul

Re: Photo Story 3 -- Default Effects & Transitions Settings
No... you can only adjust them one at a time, unless you have the skills to
unpack the xml file from the project file, tweak the settings, and return it
to the project file.

Re: Photo Story 3 -- Default Effects & Transitions Settings
Thanks for the quick response. I think I can edit xml without too much
trouble, but unpacking the project file would be new to me. Can you provide
any guidance on how to do that, or point me in the right direction for
instructions?
Thanks again,
Paul

Not exactly what you asked for but the
following tool will allow you to remove
all the Motion and Transitions...also it
will allow you to globally change the
duration.

Re: Photo Story 3 -- Default Effects & Transitions Settings
Hi PapaJohn,
I've been playing with the extract, edit and recombine functions with little
success. Mostly, PS3 says the file has been corrupted when I try to reopen
the project, but when I do get it to work, the changes don't seem to take
effect. I'm sure with a little more playing I'll figure it out.
I appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Paul

Re: Photo Story 3 -- Default Effects & Transitions Settings
Hi John,
I will definitely give this a try. One way that I use Photo Story is to
create short stop-motion videos using a series of still photos. Each slide
is only shown for 1/2 second or so, and there are no transitions, of course.
It sounds like this tool might be just what I need.
Thanks,
Paul

Re: Photo Story 3 -- Default Effects & Transitions Settings
John,
TweakPS is going into "Not Responding" mode every time I try it. I'm
running Windows Vista--could that be the problem?
Thanks,
Paul

I don't think it works on Vista...why are you
posting in a Windows XP newsgroup?
