Downloading pictures from a camera
When trying to download photos from a camera, I can see the photos but I am
unable to copy them. The error message I get is "The operation identifier is
not valid". I am able to perform the function on another computer with
windows xp but not this one. Can you help me

The best and most trouble-free way to copy pictures to a computer is
to get a flash card reader (if your computer doesn't already have one
built-in)--they are usually available for $10-$20 on sale.

Then remove the flash memory card from your camera and insert it into
the reader connected to the computer. The reader will appear to be
another disk drive on your computer, and you can simply drag-and-drop
files from the card to a directory on your computer's hard disk.

This will work for all cameras and all computers, so it does not depend
on any camera manufacturer's software, which is generally pretty weird
and of relatively poor robustness.
