XP Scanner and camera Wizard
Hi,

A friend has a problem with the above and so far I have not been able
to work out what is causing it, and so I am asking if anyone has had
the same problem and a fix.?

When the wizard starts, it USED to put all the files in a folder by
the name given to the group of files. So if the name was Diving, then
a folder called Diving would be created in My Pictures and the files
would be called Diving 001.jpg etc in that folder.

Now it just calls them by the same name but does not create the folder
and just dumps them in My Pictures, so he has to create the folder and
move them all manually.

At the finish of this operation the computer hangs for a short while
grabbing all the cpu.

Any ideas please.?

It would have been better to start a new thread instead of tacking
your question onto an old one...

And you don't mention what kind of card, what kind of laptop, what
OS, what happened the last time you did this--any of the things that
could help to determine the nature of your problem.

So, first things first: Have you used this slot in your laptop
before to read this (or a similar) card? Do you have to push the
card in a bit (gently) and release to have it pop out a bit for
removal?

If the card is not inserted correctly in the correct type of slot,
the computer won't see it (and there is the possibility of damage
to the card or the slot).
