Windows Live Photo Gallery Broken
Just updated WLPG with the QuickTime thumbnail update
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955359). Now when I double-click any image
file nothing happens. If I choose 'Open With'->'Windows Live Photo Gallery'
under the context menu in Windows Explorer, it opens fine.

If I restore the file associations to their default, it will open correctly
with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Make WLPG the default viewer again, it
breaks double-clicking again.

If I uninstall/reinstall WLPG, double-clicking works. It only breaks when I
apply the above update.

Anyone else have this problem under WinXP Pro? Any solution?

Thanks.

Sorry...I don't have a fix for you but FWIW...
my system (WinXP Pro / WLPG) exhibits
the same exact behavior.

At least you know you are not alone. Maybe
a future update will correct the issue.

OK, thanks.

I searched and found nothing on this so thought it was just me. Other people
on another forum who use Vista don't seem to have the problem.

Guess I'll just wait for another patch.

Windows Photo Gallery Not working

RE: Windows Live Photo Gallery Broken
Hey I have the same Problem with my Windows Live Photo Gallery. I have
Windows XP and when I downloaded the first time it was working properly with
all my Pictures. Now since that update it wont open when I click on my Pics.
I have to right click on the image and choose the program to open with. If i
take it off it will open with the default Image viewer but once I install the
Photo Gallery it still does the same. Hopefully they will come out with a
patch for this because its annoying.

Sorry to hear that you are in the same situation but good to know that i'm
the only one in this jeje.

thanks
