"Failure to Print" Message
I have recently installed an EpsonCX7400 printer, and whenever I try to print
something, I get an error message saying "Failure to Print Document." Then,
the printer will print the document, but it occurs absurdly slow. I have
contacted Epson, and they determined the printer is working fine and that
it's a problem with my computer. Has anyone seen/experienced this before and
have some suggestions? It is incredibly frustrating to wait 25 minutes to
print just 2 pages!
Thanks!!
Emily

Open task manager before staring the document

Open Processes and verify if the CPU cycles approach 100% during this time.

I assume the printer is attached to a USB port. Is this USB 2 or 1?

Re: "Failure to Print" Message
Alan-
The CPU usage went to 100% for a brief moment, than dropped all the way down
to 7%, then I saw the "failure to print document" error. The printer is
connected to a USB port on the back of my computer, the same port my old
printer was connected to. I am not sure if it is a USB 1 or USB 2.
Thanks!
Emily
