Cannot install any new printers

I have a problem that I have been unable to solve. When I try to install a
new local printer I receive the following message: Printer driver was not
installed. Operation could not be completed. This happens no matter what
type printer I choose to install. This computer is on my network and it can
access my server, however it cannot print to any network printer and I cannot
install any local printers. The local printer that is installed and shared
no one on the network can print to it. Please let me know if this is not
enough information to help solve the problem. Thanks in advance.

If you go to the server where the printer is shared and bring up the
properties of the printer, click on the shared tab and click on additional
drivers, are the appropriate boxes checked?
