Cacheing user password in windows xp.
A user has reported that when they where asked to change password on an xp
computer that is attached to a domain and answered yes that there old
password was already filled out. I know this is the case when user has logged
in but they insist that they hadn’t entered there password but that they had
just turned on the computer and been asked to change there password before
they had entered there password.
So my question is would this be possible and if it’s possible how do we
rectify this?

The user is mistaken....they have to have logged in already. They won't even
get the prompt otherwise.
