Roaming Profile issues
One of my clients has about 90 accounts using a common mandatory roaming
profile.

We added about 400 more accounts with the same mandatory profile at the
beginning of this school year. Ever since about December (Windows Desktop
Search was pushed), periodically the accounts get locked up when trying to
log in. The error message is displayed below. We've removed all temporary
internet files folders and cookies folders from the mandatory profile, we've
enabled the GPO to remove user profiles on logoff, and we have uninstalled
Windows Desktop Search, but the problem continues.

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly welcomed.

User Environment

Windows cannot copy file \\srv1\Profiles\Mandatory\Cookies\index.dat to
location C:\Documents and Settings\student13\Cookies\index.dat. Possible
causes of this error include network problems or insufficient security
rights. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.

DETAIL - The process cannot access the file because it is being used by
another process.

RE: Roaming Profile issues

I think if you add the cookies folder to the exclusions in ntuser.ini this
may solve your problem.

I found it in the user directories under documents and settings. It is a
hidden/system file.
