What causes "Make this folder Private" to be grayed out?
I have been dealing with the problem of the grayed-out "Make this folder
private" checkbox (still working on it -- apparently my issues aren't quite
as easily solved as others who have claimed success).

With all of the excellent help and advice on this issue, I have never read
or heard of any reasons given as to why this phenomenon would happen. I
cannot recall ever checking that box for "Make this folder private", and yet
it spontaneously gets marked Private, with the option grayed out. Any
explanation for this? Is it a bug? Known, admitted, or otherwise? Caused
by a virus?

Just curious, but sometimes knowledge of a cause can help prevent the
problem in the future. Thanks in advance!

Steve

The volume must be formatted with NTFS
