latest update

I have been trying to do the recent security update. I have never had any
issues until now. I get to the point of it finishing, and then i get access
denied! then my pc goes thru and uninstalls the update it just took forever
to do ....help me pleaseeee

Which update ? An ' Access Denied ' error indicates a Permissions issue.
When you find the number of the update, for Windows XP, go to Start >
Run > type in

%windir%\kbxxxxxx.log

Click OK or press Enter [NOTE: replace the x's with the number of the
update'
The installation log of the update will open
