Ctfmon.exe error complicated by requiring sign on as administrator
I've read many chats/blogs etc about how to get rid of this error. I go into
msconfig, then to startup and unclick the cftmon but when I have unchecked
this file and am trying to 'apply' and then 'ok', I get a message that I am
in selective startup and must sign in as an administrator in order to clear
it. Have spent hours with Dell too and they say I must back-up everything
and wipe my hard drive and reload my computer. Anyone have a better idea?
Incidentally, this is my home computer, I am the administrator by default.
Hope someone can help today!

It kept closing down my system. Thanks for the interest. Dell wiped my hard
drive and I'm back on now.
