Windows automatic updates problem
Hi I wonder if anyone can help me

I have in the sytem tray the red shield with the instructions to turn on the
automatic updates, and to do this I should go into the control panel, then
system and then turn on automatic updates.

But when I go to the automatic updates in the system it says they are
already on.

What can I do to resolve the probelm, I cannot turn them on if they are on
and I don't like looking at the red shield?

Please can someone help me

Yeah me too. Don't know if it is something to do with malware or SP3 ???

What I did, not sure if it is a permenant fix though is to register a file
called "wuaueng.dll". Go Start/ Run Type- regsvr32 wuaueng.dll Click OK.
Works ,don't know how long. Good luck
