Where is my registry
I am trying to use the password resetter for my admin account. When I do it
askes which directory my registry is in. Apparently it isn't in the default
because it will not take that. How can I find where my registry is?
Thanks,
Chas

The WinXP registry can be found in C:\Windows\System32\Config\.
It'll be divided into several data files, such as Security, Software,
and System. The user-specific portion of the registry is stored in each
user profile, in a file named NTUser.dat.

What is this "password resetter" program to which you refer? Changing
passwords using Windows-provided utilities do not prompt you as to where
are the registry's file locations. So you are using some 3rd party
utility. What is it and where did you get it?

Depending on when your XP system was installed, you may also find the
necessary Registry hive in C:\Winnt\System32\Config
