System Restore failure on startup?

Each time I start my computer the system restore window is open with the
message that the restore has failed. I dont know why this is there as I have
not attempted to restore my computer? I wopuld be grateful if someone could
help me stop this happening, I have checked in the start up option of
msconfig and there is nothing I can see to explain what the problem is. I
have not made any software or hardware changes and have Spydot and Norton
anti virus which I always keep updated, and hope it is not virus related.
