If your server is a domain controller and you want the PC on the domain, you
can't, you need XP Pro.

Windows XP Home cannot be a *member* of a domain.

However - this does not mean you cannot access domain resources. You just
have to pass the proper user credentials to said domain resource(s) in order
to access them (such as mapping a shared drive, connecting to a shared
printer, etc.)

Re: XP Home setup in Windows 2003 SBS

http://mylogon.net

Download and install this, enter the server/domain values, create a logon
script with the necessary domain resources and it's then easy for the user to
connect when required - looks much like the Pro domain-logon dialog.

Use in non-enforced mode if the connection to the network is occasional and
the user doesn't want to have to enter a password at startup.
