Install requiring activation before it's done
We're installing WinXP and when the first login screen appears, a window
pops up requiring us to activate. Problem is, there's no code there if we
were to call in, and naturally the machine can't do it online because
there's no NIC driver yet.

Last time we had this happen we formatted the drive and it worked properly
on the second try. Today, identical copy of the hardware we used last week,
new Win CD, and the same problem occurs.

Info: iGoLogic i3899F integrated mobo, Core 2 Duo T5500. OEM Win XP.

Re: Install requiring activation before it's done
What is the make/model of the PC? What type of installation media (OEM CD,
mfg restore kit)? It shouldn't be doing that right after a clean install.

Re: Install requiring activation before it's done
PC is a Heathkit HE-RObot. ;-)

Other stuff is already listed...OEM CD. Since my original post the machine
did it again. We're calling the mobo mfgr in the morning.
