XP PRO-Repair Install
We are running XP Pro and attempted a repair. However, we need to know how to
abort the repair. We have XP already loaded on but need to know id we can
abort repair and reboot with previous OS

Why?

Just finish the repair installation, correct for the problems (with
updating) it *will* cause and use it as usual. A repair installation is not
a clean installation.

(Plus - I am betting it is done by now.)

Re: XP PRO-Repair Install
The reason I ask this is because I'm trying to prevent havingto format and
reinstall. I, was attempting to do a repair, during the rpair, it asks me to
load a file called mmrtkrnl. I did some searching and its a file associated
with Altech BPM Studio (digital DJ software) The problem is that when I
search for the file and located it under system32, the system reboots and
starts over again at the setup. I did have that software but I uninstalled it
years ago. So, I know that prior to my attempting a repair, my system did
boot, but since I'm stuck in repair hell, I dont know what else to do. I'm
hoping that I don't have to reformat and reinstall.

Re: XP PRO-Repair Install
If you take the cd-rom out of the drive and restart the computer, does it
boot? If not, what error do you get?
