OEM MCE question
i am TRANSFERRING my operating system to another computer.

I have an ORIGINAL OEM MCE disk, not a "recovery media" "computer specific"
disk.

I have a key from a Compaq Presario for MCE 2005.

I have used the oem disk to clean install on this presario, but no longer
want windows on this computer.

I have already f-disked and installed another operating system on this
computer.
I want to transfer the Product Key to another Machine.

What problems should I expect when doing this, and how could I avoid such
problems.

Re: OEM MCE question
Sorry, but the Compaq OEM license (product key)
cannot be used on any computer other than the
original Compaq computer the product key was
affixed to.

Re: OEM MCE question
It will work just fine and will also likely activate with no problems, but
as Carey said it is a violation of the license agreement as OEM is tied
permanently to the first machine it's installed on, so you have to decide if
you can live with yourself if you do it
