RIS (WDS) very slow after installing BDD2007

Has anybody seen RIS running slow after installing BDD2007. All was working
OK when just RIS was installed. then upgraded to WDS, everything still work
fine.
Installed BDD2007 now RIS takes hours and hours to install basic XP image.
(used to take 15mins)

The XP image has not changed only the BDD installation.

This is the same on 3 different networks. all the same problem.

The test network is

SBS 2003 Prem
Fully patched
SP2
