That rather depends on what format the video file is in.
Flash will capture nicely with the Sothink Web Video Downloader (not free)
using Firefox. There are many other utilities which say they'll capture
flash, but I haven't found any that work as well as this one. If you need
to then convert it, Xilisoft Video Converter is amazing.
If it's a WMV file, then you can use SDP (which IS free).
Sometimes you can 'grab' the files from the Temporary Internet Files folder,
but often they are instructed not to be cached and will not appear there.
