Maybe the following info will get you started:
According to the following spec sheet your
JVC is a MiniDV cam with an IEEE 1394
FireWire interface.

So...you need a IEEE 1394 FireWire cable...
your owner's manual should offer instructions
on connecting it. And of course...your computer
will also need a IEEE 1394 FireWire port...check
your owner's manual. If your computer does not
have a FireWire port you can install a IEEE 1394
PCI FireWire card...easily obtained at stores
selling computer accessories.
